My Vision
BUILDING ON PROGRESS
Serving as Trustee has reinforced my belief that the best outcomes for students happen when families, educators, students, community organizations, and government work together.
Although the TDSB is currently under Supervision from the province, there is no justification to keep Supervision through the next election, and we need to be ready when the new term begins on November 15, 2026. As I seek re-election, my vision is to build on the progress we've made by focusing on five priorities.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Building a culture of academic excellence, with student-centred funding to promote strong literacy and numeracy, while supporting student well-being, mental health, and special education needs.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Continue bringing together families, educators, community organizations, and government to support student achievement and well-being.
SAFE & INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS
Support welcoming, respectful, and safe learning environments for every student.
PLANNING FOR GROWING COMMUNITIES
Advocating for ongoing investment in aging school infrastructure and new builds to create welcoming spaces for current students and meet the needs of our growing community.
STRONG PUBLIC EDUCATION
Continue advocating for responsible governance around our Board table and for provincial funding that covers the actual cost of running our schools, which includes eliminating TDSB’s structural deficit to ensure that our students get the resources they need.
