Serving Don Valley
As Director of Stakeholder and Community Relations for Toronto City Councillor for Ward 15 – Don Valley West, she leads community engagement initiatives, builds partnerships across the ward, and works alongside residents to advance local priorities and improve neighbourhoods.

In 2022, Farzana was elected as the Trustee for Don Valley East, where she advocated for students, families, and strong public education. She is seeking to represent the new TDSB Ward 8 because she understands the unique strengths and needs of both Don Valley East and Don Valley West and believes strong relationships, responsive leadership, and community collaboration are essential to student success.
Community COMMITMENT
Farzana's commitment to community extends well beyond her professional career. She is a CivicAction DiverseCity Fellow, in recognition of her dedication to inclusive leadership and civic engagement. She has also supported fundraising initiatives within the Ismaili community, volunteered as a family facilitator with the Quality of Life Program, helping families strengthen financial stability and access education, health, and housing, and taught future fundraising professionals in Humber College's Fundraising and Volunteer Management Program.

Farzana believes every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. She is committed to listening, collaborating, and working with families, educators, education workers and community partners to build a stronger future for every student in Don Valley East and Don Valley West and across the TDSB.
Throughout her career, Farzana has focused on building strong relationships and stronger communities.
